      Nippon Jam Jar

We came across this jam jar that we purchased at an estate sale.  There is a backstamp on it that says "Hand Painted" and has the word "Nippon" under a maple leaf in green.  It is a beautiful piece with azaleas' painted on it and has gold trim work with raised dots and lines.  Would appreciate any info on this piece as far as when it may have been made, if there is a pattern name for it and what the value may be.  There was a handwritten note inside the jam jar that says that it is a jam jar and was given as a gift.  We know from research that the piece is anywhere from 1891 to possibly 1921.  The jar is 5 1/2" w/lid and the saucer is 6 1/4" across.  The hole in the bottom of the jar is about 1 1/4" across.
