VINTAGE KITCHEN /LAB TIMER

I found this cool ?kitchen ?lab timer with the label "k w" or "k w c" on the face. It works very well in the kitchen. Anybody have knowledge on these sort of mechanical timepieces? It is about 5 inches in diameter. Seems to have old ivory colored bakelite feet that are slightly cracked but otherwise intact. What is the manufacturer. How old?

This is a K.W.Co. probably photo studio timer (check to see if the details on the dial are luminescent), likely from the late 1940's and the bakelite attribution would be perfectly accurate. Given that the shape and details have a really retro feel, this would be a popular piece for decorative sake in today's market (ironically for a kitchen). Should be able to sell for around $50-$60.

Thinking that this was used for scientific or in a darkroom. K W is the manufacturer. As to how old - not sure on that one. Bakelite pretty well began being used in the mid 1920's into the 1950's when it was replaced with plastic.
