Uniform

I was given this uniform by my birth grandfather. I don't know much about it. The inside of the pants are stamped dec. 1945. Could anyone tell me anything about it and what is the best way to sell it?

Just out of curiousity, are there any ribbons/medals/pins that are part of your grandfather's estate- one's that would have gone along with this uniform? Selling a uniform without the bars and other "jewelry" is a difficult sale, and would end up around the $20 range as noted. With the award and/or service ribbons at least, the uniform could double or triple in value.

April Patterson No, unfortunately this is all that was given to me. Also a field jacket.

This is a staff sergeants uniform. It was by the date on the uniform made in 1945, however this was after WWII and was put into use after 1947. That is an Air Force E-5 patch. The USAF was not formed as a separate branch of the US Military until 1947. So this would not have been used before that date. This is possibly a Korean War era uniform. This is probably in the 20 to 30 dollar range, maybe more. It looks like khaki or gabardine material.
