THE BEAUTY OF PEARLS – WHAT’S REAL AND WHAT’S FAKE?
Natural or cultured pearls are quite beautiful, unique and officially the world’s oldest gem. They are created from a living organism when an irritant, such as a parasite or piece of the shell, becomes accidentally lodged in an oyster.  Culture...

Personal Details

  • About Me More than 30 years ago, my husband and I developed strong interests in antiques and collectibles. We began searching antique stores and malls, yard and tag sales, and the want ads for furniture, glassware, ceramics, artwork, and other unique items to satisfy our ever-increasing yearnings for these items. We soon found we had no room for our "stuff" and had to fill our basement and garage with our purchases. Sooner than later we simply ran out of space. However, our interests continued to expand, but not our space. So we decided to became dealers at The Brass Armadillo in order to sell some of our "treasures". Over twenty years later, we are still buying and selling, but now we possess more experience, knowledge and expertise. We have made so many friends with other Brass Armadillo dealers and have met many wonderful people along the way. We love to travel so I will be writing about antiques, collectibles, other antique shops, and the people we meet and have previously met in our journeys. I hope to share with you some of my knowledge, memories and interesting tales which I have experenced along the antique trail.
